We build with Appalachian Hardwood, Cherry, Maple, and Pine, some of which we harvest on our own land here in Virginia. All of our Tables are made from solid wood. We use no veneers. Our table legs are made from solid timber, not laminated strips of wood as is common in the mainstream furniture industry. After each board is selected for a table top our craftsmen will rearrange the boards several times to get the best placement. The boards are placed so that the grain of each board complements the adjoining boards. The grain must flow visually with the goal being to have the joints be as unnoticeable as possible. It is a time consuming process, but we feel that the results are worth the extra effort.
