The Old Farm Table Company specializes in farm tables made by hand from solid American wood. We use American timbers including timber harvested on our own land in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our family has been in the woodworking and lumber business in Virginia since the late 18th century. Our workshop in located in an old apple packing factory in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Our 43,000 square foot factory can accommodate over 50 workers, however we are set up to build furniture by hand in the old time manner. We are committed to hand-made quality even though it is on a large scale.

A significant number of our workers are early retirees from the corporate world. Others are a wide mix of people from recent high school graduates to stay at home dads or moms that work part-time. The one thing that tends to be common to all of them is a desire to work with their hands to make something of lasting value. Most of them could make more money elsewhere, but have chosen the satisfaction of working as a craftsman over higher pay.
